Designing for the 21st Century

Material Beliefs

Material Beliefs links engineers with designers through a residency programme. The aim of these reflective collaborations is to generate a body of work for public exhibition and engagement events. These events will open up a reflective and critical space around the role of technology, in which research can be put before the public in a novel ways. The project will focus on technologies which blur the boundaries between our bodies and materials. How can we deploy design to invigorate a discussion about the value of these forms of hybridity?
